A Little R&R

Presented by Heartland Investor Capital Management Inc. CTA

🌎 Trade
China remains a major focus for agriculture.
The shorter trade extension keeps pressure
on China to follow through on purchases.
That could become increasingly important
for USDA demand estimates later this fall.

🌽 Corn
Corn continues holding key support.
Month-end pressure could still bring
a pullback toward the 514–516 area.
Wet weather is slowing harvest in areas.
The broader outlook remains constructive
once this consolidation runs its course.

🌱 Soybeans
Soybeans are also stalling into month end.
Harvest delays are supporting nearby demand.
Illinois crushers are looking for beans,
while wet weather complicates harvest.
Another pullback remains possible before
we look for another push toward recent highs.

🥘 Soybean Meal
Meal continues to show strong underlying demand.
Tight nearby bean availability is supportive.
December meal is testing major resistance,
with $400 remaining an upside target
if soybean strength resumes.

🌾 Wheat
Chicago wheat is testing its 50-day average.
Seasonals turn stronger into late September
and the first half of October.
Black Sea uncertainty remains supportive,
and we continue looking for another
upside push after the current setback.

🐄 Cattle
Live cattle are backing and filling
after reaching downtrend resistance.
We expect the recent gap to hold.
December cattle could work toward 229–231,
while February has greater upside potential
into the end of the year.

🐮 Feeder Cattle
Feeders remain technically constructive.
The chart shows several bullish formations
despite today’s corrective trade.
November feeders could retest the
338–340 area before mid-October.
Higher prices would open another opportunity
to begin protecting deferred cattle.
