Cheap Corn Call Idea

In light of the heat coming over July 4, and in case it fails to retrograde, and there’s always a possibility of a friendly USDA acreage report for corn. Here is a cheap corn call idea.

You can buy the serial Dec corn call that expires on July 17, 22 days from now.

The 445 strike is trading for 10 cents. If something goes haywire, you will own December corn through July 17, with a 455 net breakeven.

Obviously, it’s an option play, and you would likely let go of it into the scare if the heat looks to be sticking past July 8.
